Arts Fund and STEM Fund $500 Grants apply by April 27

Apply: $500 Arts & STEM Fund Grants

Eligible teachers who are registered with AdoptAClassroom.org®, have an AdoptAClassroom.org Classroom Page and meet the grant criteria may apply for a $500 Arts or $500 STEM Fund Grant.

The application due date is April 27, 2026.

About the Arts Fund:

AdoptAClassroom.org’s Arts Fund provides $500 grants to support studio art, music, drama and arts integration in general education classrooms.

About the STEM Fund:

AdoptAClassroom.org’s STEM Fund supports teachers in implementing innovative classroom science, technology, engineering and math initiatives. These $500 grants help teachers access the materials their students need to engage with complex subjects while having fun learning.

Grant Application Process:

There are two parts to the grant application process.

1.

Make sure your AdoptAClassroom.org Classroom Page meets the grant requirements, describes your need for funding and what you’d do with the grant.

2.

Complete the application, including copying and pasting your unique classroom page link/URL into the application for evaluation.

Step-by-step Spotlight Fund classroom page instructions are provided below to help you create a page that:

Is compelling and more likely to get noticed by donors

Highlights the need for supplies to support either arts or STEM in your school or classroom

Describes the positive impact that the grant would make possible for students

We’ll award at least 50 $500 classroom grants for the Arts Fund and at least 50 $500 classroom grants for the STEM Fund.

Even if you don’t receive a Spotlight Fund grant this time, improving your AdoptAClassroom.org Classroom Page increases your chances of getting a donation from a flash fund or donor.

To Get Started:

Read the full Spotlight Fund Grant Terms and Conditions, including the Eligibility and Evaluation Criteria, before you begin.

Log in to the AdoptAClassroom.org Teacher Dashboard.

Use the Spotlight Fund Classroom Page instructions to edit your classroom page so that it reflects the fund topic of arts or STEM and meets the Evaluation Criteria.

Post an update on your classroom page that describes how you’d use the $500 Grant to support either art or STEM in your classroom or school. Share what items you’d purchase and the expected outcomes for students.

Access the application through the Teacher Dashboard and submit it. Be sure to include your unique classroom page link/URL (here’s how to find it).

Eligibility:

Due to the large number of Spotlight Fund grant applications received, AdoptAClassroom.org may screen based on eligibility, school location (to ensure the disbursement of funds nationwide), and other criteria before grading and/or during selection.

When screening applications, we may prioritize applicants who:

Are employed at a school meeting AdoptAClassroom.org’s definition of high-needs, as determined by the percentage of students:

Receiving free or reduced-price lunch

With Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)

Who are English-language learners

Have never received AdoptAClassroom.org funds, or have received less than $500 in the previous 12 months.

Follow the grant application directions, including making edits to their classroom page to discuss the fund topic of either arts or STEM and pasting a valid link in their application.

For each Spotlight Fund grant, a small number of applications submitted by educators at schools that don’t qualify as high-needs are evaluated. If you don’t meet the full Eligibility and Evaluation Criteria in the Spotlight Fund Grant Terms and Conditions but still wish to apply, you may.
