$20,000 Donation Match for Teacher Appreciation Day

Teacher Appreciation Week is a great time to fundraise for your classroom. Education is already on folks’ minds, so we’re helping you share your classroom needs with donors who want to show their appreciation.

We’re hosting a $20,000 Teacher Appreciation Day Donation Match on May 6, 2025. From 9 a.m. ET to 9 p.m. ET, all donations to teachers’ classroom pages on AdoptAClassroom.org will be doubled until we hit our matching goal of $20,000.

We will update this blog page when the matching funds run out.

How To Get Double Donations:

If you’re already registered with AdoptAClassroom.org, log in and update your classroom page so it’s ready to share when the match begins. This video tutorial shows you how.

Guidelines To Qualify for AdoptAClassroom.org’s Donation Match:

Donations must be processed between the hours of 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. ET on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, as part of the first $20,000 in matched teacher donations.

Mailed checks and pledges are not eligible for this match.

Matching donations will be disbursed within a week to teachers’ AdoptAClassroom.org account.

In the case of monthly donations, AdoptAClassroom.org will match the first donation on 5/6/2025, up to $100, but not the following monthly gifts.

To support as many classrooms as possible:

  • If a teacher donates to their own page, the donation is not eligible for a match.
  • Unique donations will be matched up to a maximum of $100 on May 6, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. ET or we reach our overall goal of $20,000.
  • If an individual makes 1+ donation(s) to different teachers, all donations will be matched.
  • If an individual makes 1+ donation(s) to the same teacher, only one donation will be matched.
  • If a teacher receives 1+ donation(s) from different donors, all donations will be matched.
  • If a donation is made on any website other than AdoptAClassroom.org, the donation is not eligible for a match.
  • If a donation is found to be fraudulent, it is not eligible for the donation match.
