100 Back-to-School Donations for Teachers

To help teachers and students start the 2021 school year off with the tools they need, AdoptAClassroom.org is donating 100 $100 school supply donations to teachers at Title 1 schools nationwide. These back-to-school donations for teachers will be awarded to AdoptAClassroom.org registered teachers at PreK-12 public schools, where 40% or more of the students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch.

If you’re interested in entering for the chance to receive a $100 donation, follow the step-by-step instructions below on how to enter from August 15th through September 15th, 2021.

How to Enter: $100 Donations for Teachers

To enter for the chance to receive a $100 classroom donation, create or update your AdoptAClassroom.org classroom page from August 15th through September 15th, 2021. Be sure to follow each step listed below to be eligible.

Don’t have a classroom page on AdoptAClassroom.org? Register on AdoptAClassroom.org and create a classroom page to be eligible to receive donations on AdoptAClassroom.org.

Step 1: Upload Photos to Your Classroom Page

Upload a high-quality profile photo and cover photo to your AdoptAClassroom.org classroom page. If you’re not comfortable using a picture of your face, that’s okay! We’re happy to see your smiling bitmoji, a picture of your classroom, or an image of school supplies.

Step 2: Update or Create Your Classroom Page

Tell a specific and unique story about your classroom, and explain what you need to support your students and why in the “Your Teaching Story” section of your classroom page.

Need help getting started? You could write about how the pandemic or other recent events have affected you and your students, the supplies you’ll need to get learning back on track, or how much money you’ve spent out-of-pocket providing students with back-to-school supplies. You can also tell the story of the struggles and successes of specific students (please keep their names anonymous).

Step 3: Include “#SupportTitle1Schools” in Your Classroom Page

While updating your page, include the hashtag “#SupportTitle1Schools” at the end of the “Why We Need Your Help,” “About My Classroom,” or “What We Need” section of your classroom page so we know you applied for this donation.

Step 4: Set Your Classroom Page to Public

To enter for the chance to receive this $100 donation, you must check the “Make My Page Public” box of your classroom page if it is not already public.

On AdoptAClassroom.org, you have the option to make your classroom page private if you’re not going to crowdfund. If you have a private page you can still apply for our grants and spend  donations you receive from our sponsors. However, your page must be public to be eligible for this donation. 

The benefit of having a public classroom page on AdoptAClassroom.org is that our donors can see your page and make a donation.

Giveaway Rules

HOW TO ENTER:

Create or update your public classroom page on AdoptAClassroom.org, upload a profile photo and cover photo to your classroom page, tell your teaching story in the “Your Teaching Story” section of your classroom page, and include the hashtag “#SupportTitle1Schools” in the “Why We Need Your Help,” “About My Classroom” or “What We Need” section of your classroom page. Limit one entry per teacher.

AGREEMENT TO OFFICIAL RULES:

Participation in the #SupportTitle1Schools Giveaway constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules, which are final and binding. Winning a Prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.

PROMOTION PERIOD:

The Giveaway begins on (8/15/2021) at 12 AM CT and ends on (9/15/2021) at 11:59 PM CT. Entries received before the start time or after the end time will not be considered.

ELIGIBILITY:

Participants must be a PreK-12 teacher at an accredited PreK-12 public school where 40% or more of the students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch and legal resident of one of the fifty United States or the District of Columbia and at least 18 years of age at the time of entry. Participation is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited by law.

WINNER SELECTION:

A random drawing will be conducted on or about 9/30/2021 from all eligible entries received to select 100 Potential Winners. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Promotion Period. Potential Winners do not need to be present at the time of the Drawing to accept the Prize.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE POTENTIAL WINNERS:

AdoptAClassroom.org will notify Potential Winners by emailing them at the email address they used to register with on AdoptAClassroom.org. If a Potential Winner declines to accept the Prize, or if a Potential Winner is disqualified for any reason, AdoptAClassroom.org will select an alternate Potential Winner based on a random drawing among all remaining eligible entries received. A Potential Winner is not a verified winner until eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules has been confirmed.

PRIZES:

We will randomly select 100 Prize winners who will each be awarded one $100 donation to their AdoptAClassroom.org Classroom Page. The Prize consists of only the items listed and AdoptAClassroom.org shall not be responsible for any fees, costs, or taxes arising out of or in connection with Winner’s use of Prize. Prize is non-transferable, and no substitution, assignment, or refund of a prize is permitted, except by AdoptAClassroom.org, who reserves the right to substitute a prize with another prize of greater or equal value, if a prize is not available for any reason as determined by AdoptAClassroom.org in its sole discretion. Limit one Prize per person.
