We are excited to announce that Head Starts and Head Start teachers are eligible to participate in AdoptAClassroom.org!
According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Administration for Children and Families, there are about 1,600 agencies in local communities throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico that provide Head Start services.
What are Head Starts?
Head Starts provide early childhood educational opportunities at no cost to children from low-income families. They include various types of programming to best match the needs of each community, such as Early Head Start, Head Start for ages 3-5, American Indian and Alaska Native Head Start, and Migrant and Seasonal Head Start.
They can be run through a variety of local, public, or private services, such as nonprofit organizations, schools, and community action agencies. These entities receive funding from DHHS to provide Head Start programs to children and families.

Why should Head Start teachers join AdoptAClassroom.org?

Fundraising through our nonprofit is free, with 100% of donations made to your classroom going directly to your AdoptAClassroom.org account. We offer flexible spending, with no goals to meet and the ability to purchase items from our nearly 30 education vendors based on your current needs.
