What is a donor-advised fund?
Giving through a donor-advised fund is a great way to support teachers in your community or across the country.
A donor-advised fund (DAF) is like a flexible charitable investment account. Funds deposited into this account are immediately eligible as a tax-deductible donation. Later, you can recommend grants to organizations with missions that speak to you. DAFs are increasingly popular with many people as they allow you to make mindful giving decisions. You can spend some time thinking about how you want to give, but your contribution is still immediately tax-deductible.
Common DAFs include Fidelity Charitable, BNY Mellon, Schwab Charitable, and Vanguard Charitable.
Can I give to AdoptAClassroom.org through my DAF?
Yes, AdoptAClassroom.org is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization recognized by the IRS. Because we are a recognized nonprofit organization, you can direct tax-deductible contributions you make to your DAF to AdoptAClassroom.org at any time.
How do I give to AdoptAClassroom.org through my DAF?
List AdoptAClassroom.org as the recipient of your donor-advised fund grant to make a donation to support education.

*Please Note: In order to receive your donation, a teacher must be registered on AdoptAClassroom.org with an active classroom page at the time of receipt. If they are not registered the donation will be directed to the AdoptAClassroom.org general fund. Per our Terms of Use, teachers must login every six months to be eligible for funding.
