Support Kids and Teachers: COVID-19 Relief

As this global crisis evolves, it is clear that we must act now to support kids and teachers.

All donations made to our Disaster Relief Fund by April 30, 2020 will be disbursed to high-need schools impacted by COVID-19. Your gift will be directed as a grant to high-need educators to purchase supplies that mitigate the impact of COVID-19.

Educators across the country are making critical decisions so they can reach low-income students at home. Schools aren’t just a place where students learn. For many, this is where they get regular meals, internet access, and a place to belong.

In this flurry of change, one thing has stayed the same. Educators always know what their students need to be successful.

Teachers are the people we should turn to to support kids during this change. We are specifically targeting educators in high-need schools where students will be most impacted by these rapid changes.

In these initial stages, AdoptAClassroom.org is working directly with schools and vendor partners to identify those most in need and how to get tools to them.

We have a long history of responding to disasters with funding so learning can continue. Since 2017, we have raised and disbursed over $100,000 as 293 grants during natural disasters to educators. You can read about our previous support of Puerto Rican schools after Hurricane Maria.

AdoptAClassroom.org Disaster Relief grants provide immediate funding so educators can purchase what they need to respond to dire situations like COVID-19. With your help we can support kids through this difficult time.

Please take a moment to make your gift, big or small. We all need to come together to support those most impacted.

Thank you for your support.

Wishing you safety and health,

Ann Pifer, Executive Director
