How to Access and Spend Your Funds in 4 Easy Steps

AdoptAClassroom.org makes it easy for teachers, principals, and other school administrators to receive funds and shop for what their students need. Our online marketplace of vendors carries everything from basic school supplies and technology, to books and furniture. Everything you order will be shipped directly to your school. 

Note: All donations expire 12 months from the date of the donation. If you do not use your funds by the 12 month deadline, unused funds will be reallocated to where they are needed most.

Follow these four easy steps to access the marketplace, and spend your funds.

1. Log in to your AdoptAClassroom.org account here.

If you don’t have a password yet, you’ll need to set one up.

Here’s how:

1.     Click “Forgot your password?”

2.     Enter your email address. 

3.     Use the link in your email to create a new password. 

If you do not receive an email right away, contact us at [email protected] to get your account set up correctly.

2. Thank your donor

A pop up window will appear after you log in, asking you to send a thank you message to your donor. Please write a brief message to let your donor know how their donation will help your school.

Note: You are required to send a thank you message before you can spend your funds.

3. Create a school page

If you do not already have a school page, you need to create one to access the AdoptAClassroom.org marketplace and shop for the resources your school needs. Click here for a step-by-step guide. 

Note: You do not need to create a public-facing page to access and spend your donation.

4. Shop!

1. From your dashboard (the page you see when you log in), click the “Go to Shop” button to access our marketplace of vendors. You can shop for what your school needs by category and/or vendor.

2. To add an item to your cart, select it, set a quantity, and click “Add to Cart.” 

3. When you’re ready to checkout, click the purple cart icon at the upper right of the page to review your cart. 

4. Click “Proceed to Checkout,” and follow the instructions to complete your order. 

Note: The total cost of your order will be deducted from your AdoptAClassroom.org account balance. If the cost of your order exceeds the amount of available funds in your account, you can use a credit card to complete the transaction.  

5. Your order will be shipped directly to your school.
