Since March 2020, teachers and their students have been adapting to new ways of teaching and learning. To set them up for success as they head back to school, our friends at Ibotta are donating more than $100,000 to AdoptAClassroom.org to support classrooms across the U.S.
Ibotta, the cash back rewards platform, kicks off their Back to School Free-for-All campaign by flash funding 400 classrooms. Their surprise donation to teachers will help equip 10,000 students at high-needs schools with the tools and materials they need to start the school year off strong.
Many children come from families who simply cannot afford to send them to school with the supplies they need to learn and succeed. Teachers are filling the gap by purchasing classroom supplies using their own money. Ibotta’s donation will reduce some of this financial burden for both teachers and families that cannot afford all of the classroom supplies their children need. Kudos to Ibotta for acknowledging the need and surprising teachers in such a meaningful way.
