New Board Member: Ashley Gobert

Announcing New AdoptAClassroom.org Board Member, Ashley Gobert

AdoptAClassroom.org, a national nonprofit organization that helps PreK-12 teachers and schools gain additional funding for classroom supplies to advance equity in education, has named Ashely Gobert to their board of directors.

Gobert currently resides in Philadelphia, working as a healthcare consulting manager at Vynamic. After earning her undergraduate degree from Spelman College, she spent two years as a teaching fellow, teaching at a middle school in Durham, NC. After her years as a teaching fellow, she earned a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the University of Virginia.

“We’re proud and fortunate to have a former educator who is passionate about supporting education join our board of directors to give her unique perspective on what teachers and their students need,” said Executive Director of AdoptAClassroom.org, Ann Ruhr Pifer. “To best support classrooms, we need to listen to the voice of educators like Ashley Gobert who have seen the need first hand.”

There are 181 PreK-12 teachers in Philadelphia currently fundraising on AdoptAClassroom.org. These teachers join thousands of educators across the country who rely on donations to purchase school supplies so their students don’t go without.

Community members can support Philadelphia teachers by searching for their local schools on AdoptAClassroom.org.
