About Our Friends at Innocent Classroom!

Innocent Classroom works with teachers to eliminate the power of racial stereotypes in schools through authentic relationships between teacher and child.

The Innocent Classroom methodology decreases the impact that implicit racial bias and stereotype threat have on teacher-child relationships. Authentic relationships between child and teacher, based on each child’s good, become the foundation for increased classroom engagement and academic performance, decreased disciplinary incidents, as well as improved job satisfaction for educators. When a child is liberated from the reality of stereotype threat and implicit bias, they are able to engage naturally with their education and reach their unlimited potential.

For a limited time, teachers can use funds to register for Constructing the Innocent Classroom, a proven online training that helps teachers start building relationships with students.

Constructing the Innocent Classroom is a child-specific response to diverse classrooms. It is teacher-driven and child-centered. Teachers learn a relationship-building process that dismantles racism and racial bias by preparing educators to identify and positively engage each child’s essential motivation.
