Join Sheryl Crow in Raising a Hand for Teachers

Dear Friend,

Last year, I became the national spokesperson for AdoptAClassroom.org to help bring more attention to teachers and the important work they do. As a former teacher, I know how hard it can be to even get the classroom supplies needed to help students learn and succeed.

I come from a family of school teachers, so this is a cause near to my heart. My sister is a music teacher in Missouri and there are times when she’s out shopping for school supplies but can’t afford to purchase everything her classroom needs. This is the reality for many teachers throughout our country. It isn’t right. But, we can help.

In February, I joined AdoptAClassroom.org and surprised every teacher at Kennett High School in Missouri. With the help of Farmers Insurance, we awarded each teacher $600 for classroom supplies – the amount the average U.S. teacher spends on materials each year.

View ways to give, or give where it’s needed most.

Music happens to be my passion, but the AdoptAClassroom.org Spotlight funds focus on a variety of subjects including the Arts, STEM, Disaster Relief, and classroom inequity. Choose the one that supports your passion.

Because of donors like you, we’ve supported nearly 10,000 teachers this year. On behalf of teachers everywhere, thank you!

Teaching is the most important job that exists. Please consider joining me with a year-end contribution where it’s needed most. Thousands of teachers and their students still need our help.

Sincerely,

Sheryl Crow
