For Teacher Appreciation Week earlier this month, a group of volunteers visited the teachers and students of the classrooms they adopted at JFK Magnet School in Port Chester, New York. On a beautiful, sunny day, the volunteers planted annuals and perennials that they purchased for the school’s courtyard. They also dedicated a Japanese maple tree in honor of the teachers of their adopted classrooms. See their pictures below!
As the school year draws to a close, many teachers and donors are connecting to coordinate classroom visits of all sorts. If you have a story or pictures that you would like to share on this blog from any end-of-year visits, please send them to us at wesupportteachers (at) adoptaclassroom.org.
