Adopt-A-Classroom Celebrates Teachers Winter 2008 |
 Here at Adopt-A-Classroom we have been busy celebrating teachers. Classrooms nationwide have benefited from our efforts this school year and we want to take this opportunity to share the success of these events with you. |
| December: Holiday Celebration From OfficeMax In the spirit of the holiday season, OfficeMax added $25 to online credit card donations starting December 10th. This campaign successfully raised over $120,000 on behalf of classrooms. For over 1,900 teachers, the OfficeMax bonus was a great way to start the New Year. According to a 2nd grade teacher, “Thank you for the gift. This will assist me in maintaining a rich environment that will foster student creativity.” |

| November: Jones New York Celebrates Our 10th Anniversary |

In celebration of Adopt-A-Classroom’s 10th Anniversary, Jones New York In The Classroom empowered teachers with an additional $50 for their classroom. JNY added $50 to the first 800 adoptions made online between Nov 1-6. In addition, all teachers adopted were entered to win a $10,000 grant and new Jones New York wardrobe. |
 October: Celebrating 1,200 Outstanding TeachersOfficeMax renewed their partnership with Adopt-A-Classroom to create the second annual – A Day Made Better This one-day event occurred on October 1, 2008 and 1,200 exemplary teachers were surprised with over $1,000 in school supplies. The event was a great success and received significant media coverage: • Over 11 million print and television viewers• More than 150 television and print stories |
