This year, my school’s goal is for our students to show one years worth of growth in Math and in Reading. To help with the growth in reading, everyday students are given 30 minutes to read in the classroom. Since I am a Math teacher, I do not have many books for students to choose from. I would like to have more books; however, I would love for the books to match my curriculum. With the money I raise, I will only buy books that are Math related. This will show the students how the two subjects are intergraded and build interest in a content area that is traditionally only looked at by students as math equations and formulas.
