Welcome to AdoptAClassroom.org
Giving teachers the tools to educate our children starts with making it easy for members of the community to provide funding and support. Success happens one classroom, and one teacher, at a time.

I am a National Board Certified teacher at Princeton Elementary. I teach first grade and the needs of our classroom grow each year with a more diverse population. Our school is a Title I school and we have seen a great increase in low socioeconomic families in our community. We try to integrate technology into our classroom but our school funds are limited. Many of the students lack school supplies and daily snack. We use a lot of math and reading games in our centers and I purchase laminationg film so these can be reused each year. I also purchase color ink and paper for printing these games at home. The students love the bright colors when these are placed in our literacy and math tubs. We also love to spend time learning about science but our science funding is very limited. Most of the time, materials are shared between two or three classes. We would love to have access to National Geographic Kids magazines subscriptions for our classroom per student. We could use these for the year for the students to have for researching habitats, life cycles, and organisms. We also would love to once again have access to Weekly Reader magazines for our students. This would put literacy resources into the hands of the students.
