I teach a wonderful bunch of students.
My schedule varies somewhat, but it is usually a mix of Spanish and English. Sometimes, I get lucky and get to teach drama as well.
I am incorporating a lot of hand-on techniques in order to reach all learning styles, not just the "traditional student." It often takes extra materials, and although we did get $134 to spend last year, we haven't had funds in several years. I spend a lot of my own money purchasing things like a (really) small surround sound system (I had a hearing-impaired student in Spanish class, and I wanted to make sure he could hear), DVD players (to share videos that enhance our lessons), toner, paper, pens and pencils for students who sometimes don't have them and can't afford them, a small computer desk. . . you get the picture.
I don't have a "typical classroom." I want to go the extra mile and make my lessons interesting and applicable for students. Your donation would help with this.
Whether you donate enough for a pack of pencils that a student is unable to purchase for him or herself or enough for a projector to enhance our lessons, your donation will be greatly appreciated it.
Thank you for your consideration.
P.S. If you have any questions, feel free to email me (if this provides you with my email address).
