Welcome to AdoptAClassroom.org
Giving teachers the tools to educate our children starts with making it easy for members of the community to provide funding and support. Success happens one classroom, and one teacher, at a time.

I am a first year teacher and I have recently accepted a postion as a Special Needs teacher in a Severe/Profound classroom at my old elementary school. There are currently six students ranging from age 5 to 16. Out of these six students, I only have one student that is verbal. These children have not been exposed to very much and are in desperate need of some kind of technology to help them learn. I do believe that ALL children can learn if they are given the chance and if these students had access to iPads in the classroom on a daily basis, it would definitely motivate them to want to learn. Two of my students are autistic and research has proven that iPads are very effective with those in the autism spectrum. The material and resources in this classroom are very outdated and not in good condition. One particular student has been in this same classroom for 11 years and I would be so thankful if my classroom was chosen for this grant. Every child deserves the right to a fair education
