Welcome to AdoptAClassroom.org
Giving teachers the tools to educate our children starts with making it easy for members of the community to provide funding and support. Success happens one classroom, and one teacher, at a time.

We have a class of 25 in the town of Peru in the state of NY which is comprised of 10 special education students. There is a regular education teacher in the room that teachers along side a special education teacher. Most of our students are from lower economic status families and arrive at school with a lot of baggage. They havent eaten breakfast so some have it in our cafeteria. A lot of students arrive not properly dressed for our harsh weather and wear the same clothes day after day. Our budget is being cut again this year because our state funding is being reduced. The state expects more from our students and give us less materials to help them succeed. We are both very creative in coming up with ways to make learning fun with what we have. Our students are like sponges and soak up the new knowledge that we give them and it makes our day when we see that they actually retained what we have taught. We will be appreciative to any donation that will make our students succeed.
