Welcome to AdoptAClassroom.org
Giving teachers the tools to educate our children starts with making it easy for members of the community to provide funding and support. Success happens one classroom, and one teacher, at a time.

I am a Resource Room teacher who interacts with every student in my building. However, I am directly responsible for students with learning disabilities, hearing impairments, behavioral problems, other health impairments and those that are on the Autism Spectrum. Students with any learning impairments require a variety of ways to be taught and to learn. Therefore, without a working computer for students use, I am impaired multiple times during the school year to properly teach my students if we are working in small groups. We do have a computer lab in my school, but many times are there are several non-working computers and its almost always in use by general education classrooms. Many of my students have difficulty working in large groups and it can be very chaotic in nature for them to be in such large groups. I would use any form of a donation towards the purchase of new computers of any sort, laptop, desk top, iPad, etc., for my special education classroom.
