This is my 40th year of teaching and again, as August is upon us, I am ready to meet my new students! I have stayed in the field because in my opinion, there is no other profession as rewarding as education. Donations to my class from this program would be such a blessing. There are so many supplies that are needed including paper, pencils, pens and art supplies. Due to the economy and the fact that our state allocation of money has been discontinued, I am the person responsible for buying these items. Honestly, I have always supplemented the classroom materials needed by purchasing them from my personal funds. It would be so helpful to be adopted to help with these expenditures. My sixth graders love to read and my goal this year is to expand my classroom library of paperback books so as to update the book choices. Money donated would be used to purchase a variety of genres to appeal to readers on many levels. In my class I usually have students reading from the 4th - 12th grade lev
