Thank you for your consideration of our application! Inga Townsend is the Resource Specialist Teacher at Sunnybrae Middle School in Arcata. Kim Jelinek is the Resource Specialist Instructional Aide. This is our fourth year of working together at Sunnybrae. We love our jobs and our students, and we have worked hard to develop the resource program and create a positive and supportive environment for our students. We work with a diverse population of students. Our students are Native American, African American, Hispanic, and Caucasian. Nearly all of our students are eligible for free school lunches. Our current caseload is almost full, with 25 resource students who have documented learning disabilities, and additional students in our intervention math classes. We teach two periods of math each morning and work with a few other students who are struggling with academics. Inga spends a great deal of time completing required testing, paperwork, and meetings, in addition to managing
