Welcome to AdoptAClassroom.org
Giving teachers the tools to educate our children starts with making it easy for members of the community to provide funding and support. Success happens one classroom, and one teacher, at a time.

My classroom is an inclusive kindergarten classroom where I teach several special needs children along with regular education students. Puppets are an expensive item that would be very beneficial for language development for all early literacy activities. We do not purchase items for dramatic play as we cannot justify these materials within our limited budget. We are a very rural area and a very depressed county in western New York. We give these children a great education but it would be wonderful to be able to bring things to life with big books, beautiful posters and up to date science and social studies concept videos to go along with the integrated language arts curriculum. Our district does its best to keep our class size low so that we can give our students plenty of 1:1 attention. We focus much of our day on language arts and math with our science and social studies embedded within. I am an enthusiastic teacher with a desire to bring my students the very best, however it is getting increasingly more expensive for me to purchase the extras.
