In my class of 16 students, I have 7 who don't speak English. I volunteered to work with this group of students even though I don't speak another language. I would love to order books and materials in other languages to provide support for all of my students equally. I would also like to find activities that will help them learn English while also covering the Kindergarten concepts - reading, counting, adding, writing, etc. It is important for me to meet the needs of all of my students - regardless of my prior experience - to bridge the achievement gap and help all of my students succeed.
