As a teacher of young adults I am in need of cutting edge technology: ipads, Macbooks, interactive media tools, Kindles, and Vizio (Nooks). Due to the economy in our area, these students have limited access to media, except through the public library and school. However, they are capable and eager to become adept with the use of technology. It would be ideal for each student to have the use of a netbook in order to complete research, slideshows, and immediate feedback quizzes. I am willing to test-market various products and provide feedback with the permission of the District. In addition, the surrounding area provides a wealth of hands-on learning opportunities but the cost of transportation prohibits accessibility. With direct contributions of funds, many study units could be developed that involve real world learning opportunities to enrich and enhance learning. I look forward to a response from the community to make a difference in the lives of our future.
