I would love to be able to privde my students with the opportunity to experience the world they live in by taking them on field trips to places like museums and science labs. We have bake sales to raise money for admission fees, but transportation costs are astronomical(usually about $600). We are in a low socio-economic area where a lot of parents do not have extra cash to subsidize field trips.

I teach in a special day class with students whose are autistic or intellectually disabled. My program is special in that the students in my class are identified as having higher academic potential than other moderate-severe students. Therefore, our program is a blend of academic curriculum and life skills. Donations will be used to purchase supplies that every classroom needs, as well as specialized materials to help students in the areas of life skills and to fill gaps they may have. I appreciate all donations tremendously, as they show the belief our society has in regards to ALL children deserving the best in order to be their best!
