Be the ones to make a difference, inspire, and motivate my students. My students live in one of the poorest cities in the San Fernando Valley. Due to their economic background, many of them do not have the ability to purchase many materials for class. Most of my students come from a low income family. Our school is located in a poor community and, unfortunately, does not house many resources needed for me to enhance and supplement my students educational needs, such as hands-on history activities or the latest technology. My students are 5th graders dedicated to learning and excited about challenging themselves mathematically, scientifically, and technologically. My students deserve to recieve a well rounded education. Therefore, any materials that I purchase with these funds will be used to enhace the quality of education my students receive.

I have a culturally and economically diverse group of students, but the commonalities they share are their passion and love of learning. They love learning through the arts, such as acting, singing, and dancing and are so creative in this way. It is my hope to link their artistic side to STEM learning. I want them to build on their talents, while developing the technological, scientific, engineering, and mathematical side of their learning experiences. My students need the resources to help them grow and meet the demands of our ever growing STEM society. The challenge my students face is the limited access to resources such as technology and design materials. Having access to such resources would allow my students to acquire the thinking skills needed to compete in a global economy and STEM driven society.
We are a Title I school that continues to make gains and are closing the achievement gap through the hard work and dedication of our principal, teachers, staff, and supportive group of parents. Any support to my classroom would benefit my students greatly. Thank you for your time and commitment to bettering the educational experiences for our future generation. You are appreciated! :)

The students in my classroom have been exposed to very little art. I would like to use the money donated to purchase art supplies. I love to see them explore with new media and see their little faces light up when they see how much fun they are having. It is also a way to express their feelings and emotions. I really appreciate your help.
