I teach in a high poverty school that tries to give to the community as much as possible. I have 16 children in my class and the majority receive free/reduced lunch. A donation will help my students feel successful and help bridge the achievement gap in my classroom. My students often come to school without their basic needs being met, such as food, proper fitting clothing, and personal hygiene. Along with those things, they also come to school without their school supplies such as pencils, markers, folders and other such things.
