I teach a variety of students. My students come from two-parent families, single parent housebholds, and group homes and are not limited to immediate surrounding areas of Burns. Parents choose to send their children to Burns because we have a reputation of providing warm classroom environments and having teachers who truly care about the future of their students. In my classroom, I set the standards high. I chose to enter the field of education because I wanted to make a difference and help impact our future. With the lack of funding, it is becoming more difficult to adapt to the new standards. Any dontation would help me teach my students with up-to-date material. I look for new material to encourage students to read, but class sets of books are extremely expensive.
