The students in our classroom are active and enthusiastic learners. My primary focus when purchasing supplies for our classroom is always books for our library. I try to make our room an environment that advertises the fun that comes from learning through reading. There are many new chapter books on our wish list. I would also like additional funds to purchase some magazine subscriptions that match the interests of my students. Thank you for anything that you can do to help my students to become engaged and successful scholars.
We are also planning a trip to the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books in April 2012 with our after school book club. Admission to this great event is free but we are trying to raise money for the metro link trip from Upland to LA. I cant wait to see their excited faces and would love to be able to help make sure that any student who wants to participate will be able to go.

My classroom is a wonderful group of 7 and 8 year olds. We love to read in Room 11 and would love the opportunity to have many more books to add to our classroom library. We appreciate all donations. With such a wide range of readers, it is so nice to have interesting fiction and non-fiction titles at various levels to enrich our classroom.
We are also very appreciative of donations of paper and office supplies. These essentials help make our classroom be more organized and run much more smoothly.
We love technology in second grade and spend time working on the computers. We were lucky to have our PTA donate a laser printer to our classroom, but the toner for this printer can be expensive. We would really appreciate donations of the toner, as well.
Thank you for considering a donation to our classroom community. We appreciate the support!

I teach special education and every year the needs and range of my students abilities changes.
It is challenging to fully address their needs with the lack of funding available.
My students and I would truly appreciate any assistance. It is wonderful to see them learn and grow!
