In our room, I am determined to meet you where you are currently at as a learner, and with the help of classroom community, take you as far as you can go in 180 days. Our school is one of the larger schools in our rural, south Georgia county. Like most schools, we serve children from various backgrounds. Our students come from homes with no books at all and from homes will shelves of books. No matter what their start, they are all our children and our job is to try to somehow even out the field so that they all get a chance to shine. With funding dwindling, we are searching for ways to make up the difference. It is frustrating to try to teach concepts to concrete learned without manipulatives to put in their hands and to not have the resources to teach in the way a child needs to learn.
