I have created a music program that engages at-risk teens at an alternative high school program. We are learning guitar, bass, basic music theory and audio recording.
I will use any funds to get more teaching materials including Chord books, loaner guitars, recording software, microphones, and accessories.

Every day for the past 13 years I have taught young adolescents how to be critical consumers of information. Whether I am teaching language arts, social studies, public speaking or social action, my number one goal is to make sure my students know I care about them and their success. The care I show my students is the foundation for everything I teach them. I have great hope for humanity's future because the 12 and 13 year olds who fill my classroom all day long are compassionate problem solvers who care about the people around them and the earth we all share.
