Edgewood High School
All of our math classes at Edgewood High School are accessed by our students online using Moodle software. Teachers and students no longer have access to textbooks in the classroom. The students use school supplied iPads to access their courses through the school's website.
Since I no longer have a text book and the teacher resources that are included with text book adoption, I am now required to create all the materials used for my courses. I am currently using the power points that I created to use with the old textbooks that were aligned with the old Indiana State Standards. I am in the process of converting all my materials, tests and quizzes, to meet the new national Common Core Standards.
There is no money in our school's budget to allow teacher's to purchase Common Core text or supplemental materials. I find what I can on the Internet, but it would be very helpful to have access to text books or online resources that aligned with the Common Core Standards for algebra 2 and geometry.
