A donation to my classroom would help give my students an opportunity to use technology as part of their learning and practice. Many of my students have a limited opportunity to use internet programs at home to improve their learning of new skills. Spellingcity.com will allow them to do work on the computer/internet without having to print documents. Many students would do work at home and them email me the attachment because they didnt have a printer or ink in the printer to show me. With spellingcity.com I will be able to check their progress as a class and view their scores at one time. The stored records will be very beneficial. I will have data to show progress. Since writing and spelling skills seem to be a challenge, incorporating Spellingcity.com at school and home would be an interactive way for them to practice skills. In addition to skill practice, typing skills would also be an advantage while using this program. Students are able to use a mouse effectively, while typing skills could be improved greatly. Spellingcity.com would be a well rounded program for my students to utilize as they practice for weekly and review skills, as well as benchmark testing.
