Robinson Middle School is set in a large urban district. The school serves a diverse population that ranges from students living well above the poverty line and students that are at risk and living in poverty. Frequently students from a nearby childrens home are assigned to attend. My students are typically at risk and in need of interventions. In view of the newly adopted Common Core Standards, I feel my students and I will need some technological support to implement the strategies to help them become literate in all types of media. Having basic computers to practice and produce papers as well as projects using technology would enhance learning of students who dont have access to technolgy would positively impact students and help prepare them for their future with 21st century skills.
