In the past, our school was fortunate enough to send a few teachers to some training for an `interwrite` board (similar to Smartboards). This type of technology has greatly improved their student learning. Unfortunately, this funding was ended the past year due to state budget cuts. I know that additional funding to purchase this type of technology would be beneficial for my students. These state budget cuts also limited our annual orders a great deal. Certain books, tools, and manipulatives were not ordered due to this. I use these materials to teach my science,social studies,reading,and math classes. Having the funding from this program would improve and enhance my ability to teach children and prepare them for their lives as adults in an ever-changing world. Thank you!
