Teaching history to kids who are technology driven can be quite a challenge, even more so when the technology we have available is outdated or so virus ridden that turning on a computer and projector is an exercise in saintly patience. Many students lack the technology resources at home that would greatly help them with many assignmens or simply to help them develop skills that they will need as they leave high school.

St. Croix Educational Compex High School
I am a General Biology Teacher located in one of the two public High Schools on St. Croix, United States Virgin Islands. Typically students found in St. Croix Educational Complex General Biology class tend to be multicultural low to poverty income level students. The majority of the students live in the surrounding projects and struggle with STEM concepts and how those concepts impact their life. Most of the students in my class are kinesthetic learners however, there is not enough teaching aids for each student. As teachers we try many different techniques to equip our students for success, but due to economic cut backs many avenues that were once available are no longer open to us. All donations will greatly enhance the students learning environment and increase their potential success. Student success is the ultimate goal and measure of my success.
