My students love centers and I believe that if I had the resources to develop centers the students would greatly benefit. For instance, a reading center would detail: a small book shelf containing age appropriate books that interest my students, maybe with a small carpet square that would allow the students comfort while reading an exciting new book. In addition: a science center, writing center, and a math center. Science center: I have the boards for science centers the problem is the materials that are needed in order to complete investigations that the students do independently are all used up and need to be replenished. Writing center: I have an overhead that can be used for this center however; personal overhead markers and transparencies are needed. Math center: I have hands on manipulatives however; I need to purchase the kit for the math center. I have some materials for these centers however; there are still much needed materials in order to make these
