Oakleigh Elementary
Oakleigh Elementary has a diverse student population with varying degrees of economic status. Due to the range of economic status at our school, about half of our third grade students are having trouble producing funds to go on our field trip to the Baltimore Museum of Industry in December. This trip is a great opportunity for students to be exposed to real life examples of industry, production, and economics; which are skills the students will be studying in social studies and science this year. During the trip, the students will design, create, and test a track for a ball in small groups, as well as take a tour of the museum. I am asking for any donations that would help lower the cost of our trip, so that all 74 of our third grade students will have the opportunity to participate.
