I am a Special Education Teacher who teaches students with varying disabilities in grades 9-12 at Clinton High School in Clinton, MA. This is my second year at CHS. I currently teach an Engineering of the Future MCAS prep class, Survey of World History 2, and Applied Biology.
The classes I teach involve taking the general education curriculum for a subject ares and breaking it down. I take away the extraneous information so my students can focus and learn the key concepts. My students are not the traditional lecture and take notes kind of students. Due to this fact I am looking for a donation of an In-Focus Projector for my classroom. With the In-Focus projector I am able to project visuals, interactive materials, and provide so much more to students who need to be taught in a multi-modal way.
Thank you in advance for your consideration of this donation.

For the past four years our students at Clinton High School have averaged 25% in the Needs Improvement and the Warning category on the mathematics MCAS exam. We want this number to change. We want all our students to have a strong foundation in Algebra. Algebra is the key to their mathematical success in the future.
The Clinton High School would like to send 22 TI-83 Plus graphing calculators back to Texas Instrument to be reconditioned. With these calculators our students will be able to use them in the classroom. Students will have the ability to see the graphical representation of the problems that they are trying to solve. Students will have the capability to use the technology first hand. This will allow our students to make math connections especially for our visual and hands on learners.
We estimate the cost of having the 22 Calculators reconditioned to be $1100.00.
Thank you very much for your consideration. I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,

With so many projects planned, there are several materials needed by students to motivate and encourage them to produce his/her best work. Having easy access to useful tools, makes the learning process more efficient. In the end, students are able to take more pride in the work and we are able to stay focused on content.
