Salemwood Middle School is known for being a multi-cultural school that supports the arts. Although we dont have many funds to work with, teachers here do the best they can with the supplies they have. Additional funding would make a huge impact in my music classroom because I would be able to buy more instruments. I would like to focus on instruments from various world cultures, to help the students who have recently immigrated feel more at home. Even though we may not speak the same language, we can converse through music! Best of all, additional instruments would benefit *every* student; rather than having to wait, and wait, and wait for access to an instrument, students would be able to each have an instrument. They would have far more experience with instruments in their lives than is possible now. Thank you in advance, for your help!
