I have been teaching in Melrose for the past three years. While the town itself may be considered affluent, there is an equity issue when it comes to administrators relinquishing money to benefit the student population. We are moving into an age of digital literacy and in order to provide my students with this skill I must have have the tools to do so. Our computers are outdated, our math curriculum is not aligned with common core standards and our science curriculum is incomplete as well. In order to provide engaging and authentic lessons for my students I would appreciate any contributions to supplement our math and science programs.
