Have you ever thought about how the map you just looked at helped you find your location? Or have you ever thought about how the magazine you just looked at on your iPad helpled you find the article you were most interested in? These simple, everyday actions are just a sample of how graphic design influences our lives. The students in this program learn how to think critically about the people who they are communicating with while creating things that we use everyday. Students use problem solving skills with type, color and images to emphasize a message to a certain audience. The application of graphic design is everywhere and is part of everyone's daily life.
