As a counselor working with all grade levels one of my primary duties is to help transition and register new students for school. Many families moving into our community are looking for employment and have a hard time covering the costs of basic school supplies for thier children. Many of our schools families are also affected by the economy and in need of assistance. As the school counselor I feel it is my duty to help families by helping their children be successful in school. We are in need of school supplies such as zipper binders, notebooks, folders, pens, pencils, and composition notebooks. This year I sold treats in the morning to help cover costs and personal expenses... We gave out over 40 binders 80 notebooks, countless pens and pencils, and over 100 folders this year!
