I am a math teacher in a low income area. My students are some of the brightest children that I have ever known. To help prepare them for the school year, I try to start every year off giving my students at least one notebook. I also have created a classroom store that I open every Friday where my students use plastic coins that they earn all week to purchase additional school supplies. The supplies include, but are not limited to: pencil cases, notebooks, folders, binders, expandable file folders, pens, pencils, markers, planners, etc. Every so often Ill throw in fun things for them to purchase so that the students who are already well supplied can also enjoy the benefits of the classroom store. I use my own money so any extra help would be greatly appreciated.
