Lima North Middle School is an urban school that houses only 5th and 6th grade students. There are approximately 450 students in the building. There is a great need for math and literacy support for the students. A donation to my school would provide reading materials that will support the implementation of ELA Common Core standards. I hope to purchase class subscriptions of Scholastic Story Works and additional resources that will help with the implementation of literary and informational text requirements that are in the common core standards. I would also like to purchase materials to support fractions, decimals and problem solving in the area of mathematics. In closing, thank you for your consideration and support of this project.
