To Whom it May Concern, Hello, my name is Stacy Henry. First, I would like to provide you with personal information about myself pertaining to education. I grew up in New Castle, Pa and graduated from New Castle Sr. High in 1988. Growing up in New Castle, (born 1970) was very different compared to how my 3 boys; ages, 11, 8, and 6, are growing up now. Unfortunately, the days where most school districts had several neighborhood elementary schools are long gone. I remember being able to walk to school, several blocks away, returning home for lunch for 1 hour, then walking back to school for the afternoon. Due to the impact of major industries and businesses closing in New Castle, Pa the economy of the city has greatly deteriorated. The dynamics of the New Castle Area School District have changed drastically throught the years. We are now considered a low economic area which directly effects the education of our children.
