I work in a district where a majority of my students receive free or reduced lunch. Each of my students have a special place in my heart. I want the best for my students and their futures. When they enter my classroom in August, they have a wide range of skills and ability levels. A donation to my classroom will help me provide a variety of resources to reach each child at their instructional level. We promote reading through various programs such as Balanced Literacy and Accelerated Reader. More resources to adequately implement these programs for below level students are needed. A donation to my classroom would be used for adding texts to our classroom library and other Balanced Literacy resources (i.e. magnetic letters, big books, etc.). Not only is literacy important, but math and science are equally as important for my first graders. Resources are needed to help prepare my students for todays global opportunities. A donation will be used for materials that will enhance our math and science curriculum. All donations are appreciated and will help my students love for learning grow and pave their way to a bright future. Thank you!
