The school district has been experiencing financial difficulites. As a result, there has not been enough school supplies and motivational materials available to the students. These students come from low-income families and all of them recieve free lunch. The primary language of the students is Spanish but do very well in English.

Most of the students in our classrooms come from economically disadvantaged families but have very close family ties and values. As their teachers we want our students to succeed in every way possible. Technology in the classroom is an initiative we are targeting as a district but with budget cuts we cannot provide our students with the needed tools. Technology is rapidly changing and students need to experience technology as a learning tool in the classroom to have the same opportunities as other students. Technological tools such as digital cameras or flip cameras will open new doors and will actively engage students in all content areas: Reading, Math, Science and Social Studies. Your donations are greatly appreciated and rewarding. Thank you!
