East Lake Academy serves a diverse population of students made up of 76% Black/African American, 15% White, and 9% Hispanic and 95% of our student population is considered economically disadvantaged. Our mission is to change our world through authentic learning experiences linked to academics, arts and technology. We are in need of headphones for our computers. We currently have two dedicated computer labs, a small mobile lab, and a few classroom centers consisting of 2 to 3 desktop computers. At the present time, we are using a mixture of inexpensive dollar store headphones, headphones with the wires taped together from wear, and ancient monster size headphones which are in need of adaptors (many of which have been lost) Adopting this project would allow us to purchase this needed equipment.
