Dear Friend, Were you ever asked to make change for a dollar? Have you split a check amongst friends after dinner? Are you able to quickly determine how many hours are left in your work day? Many of us were afforded the life experience to master these real-world applications of Mathematics. With the increase in testing and the lack of resources available, many of my students struggle to excel in the real-world application of Math. I desire to supply my students with access to a subscription to Scholastic Math, to create meaningful moments of the application of Math outside of the classroom. Beyond learning the skill of calculating slope, I would like to be able to see my students have access to additional materials like a motion detector to create a slope based upon their walking speed.
